NSPCC Website design

NSPCC Website

Its not often that you get to work on something important and the redesign of the NSPCC was one of those rare occasions. Not only a great brand, but a totally worthy cause.

Defining a new standard for digital in the third sector
Creatively, the site was designed to inspire people to take action, fuelling hope for change and the belief that together we can end cruelty to children. Growing each visitor’s propensity to contribute to the NSPCC’s mission is the main objective of the website.

The fully responsive website was been designed to put the NSPCC’s website users first, and delivers an inspirational and engaging experience on all devices, enabling users to access the information and content they needed quickly and easily, especially in critical situations and when the child is put at risk.

Users might not contribute right away, but they should leave the site more prepared and much more connected to the charity.

Some stats
188% increase in users accessing its reporting tool
44% increase in abuses reported across mobile and tablet
75% more traffic from social media

Best website Brand Republic Digital Awards 2016 (not for profit) which was nice!
One of the many outputs of our design work is a digital style guide - which documents all the relevant information not only for design such as type styles and colour use etc. it can also be used by the dev teams to assist in the build process. We now tend to use zeplin, which pairs with sketch to give us the same outputs only digitally. Below are some of the pages from the guide.
